- Fill out the form.
Instructions for Requesting a Setting
This form is for the indicated type of settings and no others. You should NOT call the court to verify the setting if you properly follow the instructions. (This service is offered to you to conserve the court coordinator's time for more pressing matters.)
The following matters can be set, if you
- certify that the date for the setting you have requested has been agreed to by all parties (except in the case of waivers or defaults, in which an agreement is not necessary),
- will be able to confirm at the hearing that the date of the hearing was agreed to (by waiver, signature to orders, presence of all parties, etc. ),
- certify that the requested matters are ready for hearing and
- certify that the matter will be presented in the allotted time.
The common types of matters which can be scheduled are:
- agreed prove-ups,
- default/waiver prove-ups,
- default judgments,
- discovery disputes,(10 minutes per side)
- motions for entry of judgment, (10 minutes per side)
- motions to withdraw, and
- other matters which take 20 minutes or less TOTAL TIME.
If appropriate for your case, you may also take advantage of the CourtCall feature to appear by telephone in open court.
Instructions Upon Receiving Your Setting
- After you send the webmail form, you'll get a copy of your email right back to you to confirm that it was sent.
- The Court Coordinator will process your request and will send your setting back to you by email with a copy to everyone you copied.
- Upon receipt of your confirmed setting, you are hereby ordered to immediately transmit a copy of same to the other attorneys and any unrepresented parties by the most expeditious means available to you to communicate to those persons.
