The Center for Public Policy Priorities is a non-partisan, non-profit policy research organization committed to improving public policies and private practices that influence the economic and social prospects and conditions of individuals, families, and communities.

This is essentially a Texas-based "think tank" run by retired Travis County District Judge F. Scott McCown. I have not spent a lot of time on this site, but I've gotten to know Scott from our both being on the Supreme Court Task Force for Foster Care and he is undoubtedly one of the smartest people I know. Gotta be some good stuff on this site.
