The 424th Judicial District was created by the 79th Texas Legislature effective September 1, 2005.  Prior to September 1, 1999 the 33rd also included <A HREF="http://www.naco.org/Template.cfm?Section=Find_a_County&Template=/cffiles/counties/county.cfm&id=48319" TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.naco.org/Template.cfm?Section"><U>Mason County</U></A>, and some years back also included <A HREF="http://www.naco.org/Template.cfm?Section=Find_a_County&Template=/cffiles/counties/county.cfm&id=48327" TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.naco.org/Template.cfm?Section"><U>Menard</U></A> County.
